Innosphere Launches Recipes.ca for E-mall
Innosphere successfully launched the recipes.ca project for eMall on May 25, 2012. We were able to effectively deliver a functional website while respecting their budget and tight timelines.
For this project Innosphere utilized an agile approach and Rally, as the project management tool, to incorporate the client in the development stages. Collaboratively features were prioritized and a deadline was set. Innosphere provided weekly demo meetings, sprint planning sessions and scrum meetings to tweak eMall’s original plan and support their overall vision for the project.Touching base on an ongoing basis allows the client to visualize the product and provide input, which in turn boosted their confidence in the development process.
For this project we partnered with Sitecore, an industry leader in web content management. In the past Innosphere has developed our own content management systems, however the partnership allowed our team to focus strictly on the site requirements and functionality.
The recipes.ca site prompts visitors to create a personal profile with your favorite recipes. It essentially builds a cooking community, through recipe sharing, ranking and commenting. The site is also designed to create a personalized cookbook and develop online rapport between cooking enthusiasts.

“I hired Innosphere to develop Recipes.ca. Erik and Dave are highly experienced technologists with excellent interpersonal skills. They employ an effective agile development process that ensures efficient communication and process yet still provides the client with flexibility to make key business decisions in real time. The result is a quality product delivered on time and on budget. I would highly recommend them for similar web development projects!”
